Upcoming Position Available: Seasonal General Associate (Spring)

We are seeking a General Associate to help approximately 16 hours per week with delivery, studio, and garden tasks through the summer and potentially beyond. Some flexibility in designing schedule is possible, though availability Thursdays, Fridays, and/or Saturdays is ideal,.

Responsibilities:

Specific responsibilities include helping with the following tasks:

  • Cleaning buckets, vases, and studio space.

  • Receiving, processing, and designing botanical materials.

  • Delivering orders in a small company cargo van.

  • Courteously providing customers with information and sales.

  • Maintaining, harvesting, and transporting garden crops.

  • Preparing for events and farmers’ markets.

Qualifications:

Candidates must be able to:

  • Maintain a professional, positive, and calm attitude.

  • Proficiently use technology and be willing to learn new skills.

  • Work well independently as well as in a team setting.

  • Regularly lift heavy loads, climb ladders, and visually assess surroundings.

  • Communicate well with others in English. Spanish language is a plus.

  • Manage perishable goods. Grocery, restaurant, or farm experience is a plus.

Requirements:

  • US citizenship or work visa

  • Valid California Driver’s License and clean driving record

Compensation:  

Pay rate is $18 per hour. This is a part-time, seasonal position, approximately 16 hours per week through the summer, with potential for continuing work and additional hours and benefits. Individuals demonstrating success in this position will be given first consideration for full-time, year-round positions.
